Hello,

As the year of 2022 comes to a premature screeching halt due to seasonal obligations and seasonal depression, I wanted to make a post to recap my year on Newgrounds and share my appreciation for this website.

First,

Over the course of 10 months I have released 24 Newgrounds Exclusive songs.

Making music with the intention to upload as soon as I'm done to Newgrounds has really been the leading force of getting me out of creative ruts and not overthink making music. Getting real-time feedback, Getting Front Paged, Collaborating & Typing up lyrics ( and linking every reference ), has been the most fun I've had doing music related shenanigans since.... forever? Secondly,

PICO DAY BABY?!?!

This year was the first time I participated in the infamous Pico Day and it was so surreal to fly out to Colorado and link up with Newgrounds friends for the first time. Already feels like it's been a decade since then and I'm so lucky to have gotten to be apart of something so special. Meeting so many good people at once is rare, the energy is unmatched & I can't wait to do it again. Shoutout @psychogoldfish for hosting us, you got a big juicy heart bro and without you memories wouldn't of been made. Appreciate you.

OH...AND TAKING SECOND PLACE IN THE MUSIC CATEGORY FOR THE PICO DAY CONTEST?!?! That really was the icing on the cake and I'm so grateful for @thiccburger, they made the perfect instrumental for the occasion. Literally wouldn't of been able to do jack shit without them. Also, shout out to @ninjamuffin99 for showing love immediately and hyping the submission up. He's a real DAY 1.

Newgrounds Radio.

Getting to play a role in the resurgence of the 'Radio" feature here on Newgrounds and host my own music show is a dream come true. Working so closely with @thenewgroundspodcast fellas AND the NG staff to keep Newgrounds Radio fresh and new is so sick. @BrentHeMan really rebuilt the whole damn thing and allowed it to where we could host shows (NGP, NGPR, Maxx In The Morning, ETC...) LIVE and easy. Huge shoutout to Bren. I love getting to be apart of the radio side of the site and I hope 2023 is even an OUNCE as cool for the Radio as this year has been.
